This post is all about my review of Hoffman Academy online piano lessons.
Overview of Hoffman Academy
Mr. Hoffman is an expert musician. He created the Hoffman Method that is family friendly, affordable, and a complete curriculum that is fun for kids ages 5 and up. The best part? Kids get to play songs on their very first lesson!
I had seen Hoffman Academy mentioned by other home educators so I wanted to give it a try. I signed up my 6 and 9 year old children for the free account. As I researched further, I found out that Hoffman Academy is the leading online platform for kids to learn piano and I can see why.
The Free Account
I was suprised at how much material the free account was packed with. Way more than I expected. It contained complete video lessons that my children looked forward to each day. You know something is engaging when I do not need to write something in their homeschool planner, but they ask to do it on their own.
After completing a handful of lessons with Hoffman Academy, I added in a hymn to their practice time that I pulled from a beginner’s hymn book. This has become their piano practice routine. One lesson from Hoffman Academy, and practice their hymn of the month.

Music in Homeschool
So if you’re like me, and need to outsource music, this is a fantastic option. Hoffman Academy piano lessons Premium membership is much more affordable than private lessons. Use code LEARN for 10%! After many months of Hoffman Academy multiple times a week, my children still have a love of playing piano! I realize this is great for homeschoolers, but really for anyone interested in learning to play piano from the convenience of home.
It was not until almost a year after us already using and thoroughly enjoying the program, Hoffman Academy reached out to partner with me on this blog post. It is such a privilege to be able to share resources in our homeschool that has been helpful to our family. As a mom, just like you, I am always on the lookout for quality resources when outsourcing. To be able to pass it on to you like this is an honor I am grateful for.

I was very happy with the lessons and my children liked them… But be aware that if you purchase the material, you are better to download it all and save it all because it won’t be anymore in your account after some time (my phone broke, so I lost the material that I downloaded). It was written in my account that I could have an unlimited access to my material (music sheets, audio songs, etc.), but without a warning, I see that I have nothing anymore. When I contacted the company, they tell me to buy it a second time.
