I’m so excited to share the 2023 planners I’ve chosen for homeschool and home life!
If you’ve been hanging out with me for a while either here or on Instagram, you know how I value using planners as my productivity tool. They also bring me joy in dreaming up hopes for the upcoming week. Due to that, I am admittedly a bit of a snob when it comes to planners. Or just selective about the different features and quality of design offered.
If you love to plan, I think you’ll enjoy this. If you struggle to plan well, I hope you this post can bring you some fresh ideas and motivation to start. My goal is to encourage those who want to grow, and that after reading this post, you’ll be excited to dive in.
This post is all about my 2023 planners! Warning: I am such a nerd on this topic.
A Physical Planner in 2023?
Okay, I just have to make a disclaimer and say, you definitely do not need a planner. My little sister says she is just not wired to be a planner person, and I still love her. Google Calendar or my personal favorite, the Cozi Family App, works great for scheduling. What I’m going to share today are physical hard copy paper planners for productivity. Beautiful paper planners, at that.
I’ve been a checklist girl as long as I can remember, and I’ve found that writing tasks down really helps me get it done. The satisfaction of checking the box is so rewarding! However, I have also learned to accept that if the day ends with an unchecked box, I have no need to feel discouraged because I accomplished more than I would have without the checklist. Also, there is always tomorrow, right?
Physical planners help me to see the big picture unlike a digital planner. I value seeing a week’s layout and realistically gauging my time. Also, when I am doing a Bible study or writing this blog post, I typically keep my Home Planner nearby so that I can easily jot a note down as thoughts pop into my head (not just me, right?), without fully abandoning my task at hand.
2023 Planner: Homeschool
I’m excited to say I’ve placed my pre-order for the 2023-2024 Charlotte Mason Inspired Homeschool Planner from Anna Vance Paper Co (use this link for $5 off). If you have not placed your order, I would suggest doing so now as they produce on a first pre-order, first serve basis. This may not come as a surprise to some of you as I have been a loyal customer for many years. She is also offering a Charlotte Mason Inspired PDF downloadable planner also if you’re interested in printing it out yourself. What do I love about these homeschool planners? Let me count the ways…

Pros of this Homeschool Planner
beautiful design
Anyone who has experienced (because it is an experience) an Anna Vance Paper Co homeschool planner can attest to this point. The paper is high quality. The designs for each page is thoughtful with the homeschool mom in mind. You can select from a themed design or a minimalist approach. Overall, the planner is very open ended so you have room to make it work for your family.
fully customizable
From the cover design, to the note pages, almost everything is customizable (some customizations have an added fee). There are plenty of covers to choose from. You can select a pre-designed layout that works best for you. The note pages she has designed can be lined, or blank, or grid style. My favorite part is her reading list, pupil pages, and curriculum planning pages. It can be intimidating to order, so I’ll leave my post that holds your hand through the ordering process. Trust me, it will be worth it!

support a small business
If I have to pay a bit more to support a small business, I do try to. As a small business family (we run a videography company called Juice Box Media), I know it is very expensive and takes a lot of perseverance to keep going. I have compassion for hard working small shops who are trying to do best for their clients and their families. Anna, and her husband Mathew, are fellow home educators, and do such a wonderful job creating beautiful paper products for their customers. If you check out their website, and my Instagram, you’ll see that their products are worth the price!
2023 Planners: Home Management
The last couple years, I used the On the Go Planner from Well Planned Day. They served me well in terms of having a daily blank checklist to work from. This year, I discoverd the Passionate Penny Pincher Home Planner, and did a deep dive of research on YouTube. I found so many efficient tools included with this Home Planner that would guide me throughout the year.
Pros of the 2023 Home Planner
weekly and daily checklists
At the top of each week, you have these beautiful color checkboxes – one column for morning, and the other column for afternoon. You can use these (or not). There are templates you can use to cover this section up with your own tasks. My favorite part are the daily checklists. They remind me to clean out my purse, wipe down electronic screens, etc. Basically, it feels like having a boss reminding me to do certain tasks on a regular basis. I need that!
weekly deep cleans
Every week, there is one bigger task listed in bold that repeats once a quarter. A few that I have completed so far are deep clean the pantry, refrigerator, freezer, and spice cabinet. Each week is different, and then it comes around again in the next season. This is SO helpful to me! It makes these tasks doable, and not feel so overwhelming.
save money
Besides giving task ideas that can bring order and peace to your home, there are some additional sheets that can help you save money:
- Christmas Checklist Sheets: There is a 2-page spread giving you detailed preparation checklists including items such as planning, baking, shopping, and gift wrapping supplies.
- Bill Payment Schedule: Keep track of your bills by listing recurring expenses, including how much they cost and what date they are typically paid on.
- Dream Big Home Project List: This page allows you to dream big and financially plan to make those dreams come true without going into debt.
- 2023 Financial Goals: This sheet gives you space to list out your financial goals for the year. Examples could be paying cash or debit for expenses, paying off a debt within the year, or a savings goal for a new to your car.
stickers!
Now, I have never been a big sticker person when it comes to planners. However, this Home Planner comes with 2 full sheets of stickers so I am giving it a try! They are aesthically pleasing so I have been enjoying seeing them in my January plans. You can grab a physical planner on sale (quantities are low), or a PDF printable version once it sells out.
