I had the honor of taking a closer look at Wonderful Works streaming service, and will break down what I found for you here.
This post is all about my review of a new Christian streaming service for kids.
We were late to the game of letting my first child watch anything online. However, what a change with my next children! I know I am not alone, right?
While we allowed screen time a little earlier with my younger kids, we still aimed to be intentional. That felt key. Intentionality in what was consumed was not simple. Although back then, I had Dora the Explorer and Daniel Tiger, parents with young children these days have something even better.
I had the pleasure of getting a closer look into Wonderful Works. I was provided with a free subscription in exchange for my honest review here. In fact, the team at Wonderful Works earnestly expressed that if I did not think my audience could benefit from it, I had no obligation to share about it!

Wonderful Works: What Is it?
Wonderful Works was created by a former young adult pastor and stay-at-home dad. Jesse and his wife Katie are parents themselves, and had a pretty scary birth experience. Katie and baby are healthy, but the experience brought forth a compassion for parents of little ones. Together, they had a desire to create something meaningful and safe for Christian families raising their kids in the Lord.
This streaming service is different from most others in that it is designed with that special intentionality of parents. Not designed to be watching videos for hours, but to consume a few minutes at a time with simple Biblical principles through song.
Conveniently, videos are sorted into categories such as:
- Psalm Word for Word (ages 4-5)
- Little Disciples Collection (longer videos)
- Christian Songs and Nursery Rhymes (ages 2-4)
- For Babies (ages 0-1 – these are 2 minute videos in black and white)
- Songs Only (no screentime)
How It Works Within Church
Wonderful Works is a great resource for toddler and preschool ministry! Lesson plans are included with a membership to enhance any curriculum. I love that you can watch these videos ad-free and even offline. Surprisingly, Wonderful Works offers a generous free one year membership to churches. What a gift! In addition, churches can gift memberships to their church family discounted at 20% off.
My Thoughts on Wonderful Works
On first impression, I like that the videos are in song form. I can totally see my kids engaged immediately because of the music. The fact that the accompanying words are edifying and Biblically based is a huge bonus. The animation does not move at a rapidfire pace, which makes for easy and calm entertainment.
I also reviewed this with my 4th grader because she is honest and articulate. She said it really reminded her of a Christian Cocomelon. We never got into Cocomelon, but many of our friends did. Since Wonderful Works is a comparable choice, I would definitely choose it over any secular entertainment for my little ones. Those early years are so critical, and if you’re looking to make an intentional choice with your toddler’s screentime, be sure to check out Wonderful Works as an option.
This post was all about my experience with the streaming video platform, Wonderful Works.
