This post is all about favorite curriculum and resources for Easter over the past few years of homeschooling.
In an effort to save you some time and money, I compiled a list of different curriculum and resources we have used to prepare our hearts for Easter. All of these are based on the Bible and have a Christian foundation.
For convenience, I will list out and describe many we have used, as well as a couple more that were created after my children were out of the age range, but look solid. There may be discount codes attached as well!
Whether you are seeking out picture books, chapter books, or a more in-depth study of Easter, I am pretty sure you will find something practical and useful here for your homeschool family!

Picture Books for Easter
Here are some of our well loved Easter themed picture books. I cannot get myself to rid of them because they are still so sweet and meaningful to us. If the covers alone do not grab your attention, the story sure will.
- The Friend Who Forgives
- The Passover Lamb
- The Donkey Who Carried a King
- Easter on the Farm
- The Garden, the Curtain, and the Cross
Chapter Books for Easter
For the older kids who are ready for more, here are beloved chapter books and lent devotionals that have been great for discussion. Additionally, they are all easy reads with a powerful message.
- Called to Follow: 40 Days of Discipleship Through the Life of Christ (use code “juicebox” for 10% off)
- Amon’s Adventure: A Family Story for Easter
- The Robe – I suggest this powerful story for teens and adults. It was such a memorable and impactful book!
- Wild Hope: Stories for Lent from the Vanishing – If you liked All Creation Waits for Advent, you’ll love this one too.
Curriculum for Easter in the Younger Years
We have used quite a few Easter studies in the younger years of homeschooling. Expectedly, most include hands-on activities and picture book recommendations. In addition, all point the the reason to the Savior and what He did for us.
- Signs of the Savior by Little House Learning Co.
- Easter Guide by Brighter Day Press
- The Good Gospel by The Peaceful Press
Curriculum for Easter in the Older Years
Surprisingly, it is a little harder to find great curriculum for Easter in the older years. Most years, I will use books or devotionals as our main source. However, for a specific study, I do trust this resource for tweens and teens:
- Uncovering Mercies at the Cross by Not Consumed Ministries
