Favorite Curriculum and Resources for Easter

March 6, 2025 · In: Curriculum, Resources

This post is all about favorite curriculum and resources for Easter over the past few years of homeschooling.

In an effort to save you some time and money, I compiled a list of different curriculum and resources we have used to prepare our hearts for Easter. All of these are based on the Bible and have a Christian foundation.

For convenience, I will list out and describe many we have used, as well as a couple more that were created after my children were out of the age range, but look solid. There may be discount codes attached as well!

Whether you are seeking out picture books, chapter books, or a more in-depth study of Easter, I am pretty sure you will find something practical and useful here for your homeschool family!

This post is all about our favorite curriculum and resources for Easter.

Picture Books for Easter

Here are some of our well loved Easter themed picture books. I cannot get myself to rid of them because they are still so sweet and meaningful to us. If the covers alone do not grab your attention, the story sure will.

  • The Friend Who Forgives
  • The Passover Lamb
  • The Donkey Who Carried a King
  • Easter on the Farm
  • The Garden, the Curtain, and the Cross

Chapter Books for Easter

For the older kids who are ready for more, here are beloved chapter books and lent devotionals that have been great for discussion. Additionally, they are all easy reads with a powerful message.

  • Called to Follow: 40 Days of Discipleship Through the Life of Christ (use code “juicebox” for 10% off)
  • Amon’s Adventure: A Family Story for Easter
  • The Robe – I suggest this powerful story for teens and adults. It was such a memorable and impactful book!
  • Wild Hope: Stories for Lent from the Vanishing – If you liked All Creation Waits for Advent, you’ll love this one too.

Curriculum for Easter in the Younger Years

Easter curriculum for homeschoolers

We have used quite a few Easter studies in the younger years of homeschooling. Expectedly, most include hands-on activities and picture book recommendations. In addition, all point the the reason to the Savior and what He did for us.

  • Signs of the Savior by Little House Learning Co.
  • Easter Guide by Brighter Day Press
  • The Good Gospel by The Peaceful Press

Curriculum for Easter in the Older Years

Surprisingly, it is a little harder to find great curriculum for Easter in the older years. Most years, I will use books or devotionals as our main source. However, for a specific study, I do trust this resource for tweens and teens:

  • Uncovering Mercies at the Cross by Not Consumed Ministries
  • Above Every Name by Not Consumed Ministries

This post is all about our favorite curriculum and resources for Easter.

Reading aloud as a family is something I’m SO glad Reading aloud as a family is something I’m SO glad we started prioritizing early on and continue to do even in the high school years.

These are the books that are stand outs to our family over the years.

Comment “read alouds” for this list and even more of our favorites over the last decade!

What are some of your read-alouds we should not miss?

Homeschool day in the life: a typical fall Friday Homeschool day in the life: a typical fall Friday with my tween and teens 🍁

3 things that make our flexi Fridays work:
1️⃣ Morning meeting anchors the day, especially when my kids scatter to their different responsibilities afterward.
2️⃣ Independent work (math, writing, science) means I can tend to work and emails. I can’t believe we’re at this stage! It feels so recent that I had my hands in every subject.
3️⃣ A read-aloud with my little is time I’ll never regret.

Is Friday a full school day at your house… or a flexi day like ours?

Comment FULL or FLEXI below 👇 I’m so curious how you do it!

Morning basket, teen edition. 🧺 Who says it has t Morning basket, teen edition. 🧺

Who says it has to retire when your kids become teens? Ours just looks a little different now: weird start times, a lot more choosiness about what makes the cut, and way better conversations.

Simple, rich, and still so worth it in the tween and teen years.

Comment BLOG and I’ll send you all my favorite resources. ✨

Want your teens to think of others without you hav Want your teens to think of others without you having to remind them every time? 👋🏽

Keep the cards ready. This greeting card box is beautiful, and it’s also become a quiet way to disciple my teens. It has 40 cards for birthdays, thank yous, sympathy, and “thinking of you” moments. Each tab even has writing prompts and a verse, so my kids aren’t stuck staring at a blank card.

Kindness is easier when the supplies are within reach!

Comment “cards” for the link!

New favorites from @thedailygraceco and I’m alread New favorites from @thedailygraceco and I’m already making room in our homeschool mornings.

The details:
🤩 Holidays - a beautiful book that keeps Christ at the center of every holiday all year long. This is going straight into our morning meeting rotation stat.
🤩 Proverbs study - I love studying the book of Proverbs altogether.
🤩 The Psalms - my personal favorite, this 3 volume study is rich, beautiful, and made to slow us down. Needed here! 👋🏼
