2026 gift guide

The 2026 Homeschool Mom Gift Guide

October 5, 2026 · In: For Moms, Ideas

Some links on this page are affiliate links which means that, if you choose to make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I greatly appreciate your support!

This post is an easy gift guide for homeschool moms, dads, teens, children, teachers, coaches, and more!

Giving gifts, or I should say selecting gifts, is one of my favorite things to do. When you want to bless someone you love or care for, it’s easy to want to find an idea that will make them smile!

That said, my top gift is personal and not listed here. It takes into account any personal interactions and inside jokes. I also love making a favorite-things basket for our closest family friends. Everyone in our family selects something from the year that they loved to include. It could be a book, an experience, a toy, a hair tool, a new snack from Costco, or a specialty store find. I adore these kinds of gifts because they are fun to put together and have a personal touch!

Gift Guide for Teachers and Mom Friends

Here are some of my personal favorite items, which I have or will be gifting this year:

  • Perfume wasn’t my thing until I found Dime Beauty scents. They are light, clean, and non-toxic! I started with this Best Sellers sample set to figure out which one I liked the best (Core Memory). Then I ventured into their skincare and found gems like their Dewy Day Cream and their Nourishing Cleansing Oil. Both feel really clean and renewing.
  • For the mom who is CEO of her family, I have been using this Home Planner for years, and it is a sanity saver to have all the plans and prep on paper.
  • I started using this makeup brand when it first came out, and have LOVED using What the Foundation, Miracle Balm for a moisturizing blush, and the Hero Kit makes a great gift for smaller sizes of a variety of products (I actually picked one of these up myself so I could try all of their products without the full-size commitment).
  • Cooking and baking are WAY more fun with great kitchen essentials that make the job easier! I’ve been using the Saute Pan and baking sheet (use “juicebox10” for a discount), and have my eye on more of their baking tools next.
  • What kept me sane and cool during spring, summer, and fall (in CA, I pretty much use it year-round) was having this Evapolar Lite on my desk. It only requires water and releases cool air on me while I worked and homeschooled. I love the compact size and that it is so easy to use.
gift ideas for teachers

  • This gift feels really special because not only does this nail gift set come with 6 nail polish colors, but you get a whole at-home mani system that is really cute and convenient.
  • My absolute go-to shop to find beautiful gifts for Bible studies, Bibles, accessories, mugs, and even pretty jewelry. My code “juicebox10” stacks on top of sale prices!
  • A great budget-friendly gift for teachers and friends would be some or even ONE of your favorite things from the year. For example, I love these screen wipes, and their packaging is perfect for gifting!

Gift Guide for Tweens and Teens

Straight from the mouths of teens, here are things they have loved receiving and/or things on their current wishlist:

Gift Guide for Teen Girls

  • My daughter is really into aesthetic notetaking in her courses, which is fine by me because it leads to great study skills! She uses this pen and highlighter set to keep all her notes aesthetically pleasing.
  • Both of us are drawn to these phone case designs because they are light and fun!
  • Our sandal weather is almost year-round, and these are the sandals we both wear non-stop.
  • Every photo-worthy event she attends, she brings our digital camera. Can someone tell my why teens love a digital camera vibe over a convenient phone photo?
  • Our girls have never been big blow dryer users, but lately, we’ve been trying this combo blow dryer/voluminizer at night.
  • Now that my oldest is driving on her own, I try to encourage crossbody purses for hands-free safety while out and about. This one is cute, efficient, and affordable.
  • My mom gave one of these Birdie alarms to me for safety, and I am ordering one for my teen too.

Gift Guide for Teen Boys

  • My son feels comfortable in this brand of jeans and pants. They fit his small waist and are just the right amount of baggy.
  • This is the student planner that has made my non-planner a believer. He uses this every weekday to stay on track of assignments and due dates! It works great for middle schoolers and high schoolers.
  • My kid loves these easy physical games to play at home during breaks. This hovering target game, this quiet indoor basketball hoop, and Spikeball (we bring this one to the beach or you can play in your yard).

Gift Guide for Tween Girls

  • These are the snack chips daughter always craves! I am right there with her. 🙂
  • I know some of you are right there with me and have to set a squishy budget and limit. If for some reason you’re looking for some to gift to make other kids squeal with joy, my daughter recommends these: toothpaste squishy, stress relief squishy for school, Sugar Taba Squishy, and this squishy set. I’m sorry, but also, you’re welcome!
  • Giving the gift of a creative outlet keeps on giving. Here is the watercolor paint set, this book and this book that are always hits to have on hand.
  • Do you have a fellow puzzle-lover in your family? My daughter finished a couple of these puzzles with a little added difficulty, and had a lot of fun!
  • Her latest goals are aimed at sewing after a camp she did in the summer. We got this sewing machine and this desk to start her up.

Just an ordinary, full day with a “morning meeting” at 1pm, a little baking, and a good read-aloud. The kind of simple, rich days that add up to a messy, full homeschool life over the long run.

I walk you through our homeschool day in my newest video.

I used to know every word my kids read. Now I have I used to know every word my kids read. Now I have to trust the heart I helped to shape. It’s a tough shift!

God has been reminding me how he parents me with his presence and availability, not control. He sees me, and still draws me in with love. That’s the balance I’m reaching for with my teens: being present, not policing. The goal isn’t to catch them, but to be the one they can come to.

Sorry, not sorry I’m planning for Christmas! 🎄 Ev Sorry, not sorry I’m planning for Christmas! 🎄

Every year I say I want December to feel slower. This year, I’m setting myself up ahead of time with @thedailygraceco Advent collection.

I actually just placed an order for their Teen Advent study, Make Room. While I was there I saw great Advent items for little kids too!

The code “juicebox10” stacks with any discount. Grab what you’d like before this collection sells out.

It’s 3pm, and my brain is so done. Between dance, It’s 3pm, and my brain is so done. Between dance, volleyball, piano, and church, my car is basically a teen shuttle service. @moshlife sent me a haul of their protein bars, and they are a much better option for grab-and-go than what I usually have laying around. Besides protein, it has a brain blend with things like lion’s mane and ashwagandha, and it actually tastes like a treat instead of a chore.

If your afternoons look anything like mine, go find these at Target before your next carpool pick-up!

Discipleship with your family doesn’t need to feel Discipleship with your family doesn’t need to feel like a burden. Some of the best moments with my own kids have come from a good book, some discussion time, and being present consistently.

Here are some sample resources for every age and stage, from little ones just learning who Jesus is, to elementary kids soaking up the big story of the Bible, to teens wrestling with real life questions.

I’ve also been quietly working on a new study for the tween and teen years, and I’ll be sharing more when ready. Comment “link” to get on the VIP email list to hear about first, along with other family discipleship resources.

My daughter was in middle school when she asked if My daughter was in middle school when she asked if she could go to the mall with her friends from church. Just her, no parents, no siblings.

She’d never crossed that bridge before, and I felt the word “no” forming quickly before she even finished asking.

Somehow, I stopped myself and asked a few questions instead (a practice my husband is great at!). Once I started doing that, I realized something...those “can I” moments were only going to increase. New unchartered water, one after the other, as she got older. I needed to be ready with more than just a reflexive no.

I started keeping a few go-to questions in my pocket - questions that helped actually think it through together instead of me just handing down a decision.

Swipe for the three I use most often.

They didn’t just help her to use reasoning skills. They helped me move from reacting out of fear to a posture of discernment. Bonus: less resentment from her, more clarity for me.

She did end up going to the mall, and it turned into one of those small trust-building moments I still think about.

What’s a “first time for this” moment that caught you off guard?

A new study I’ve been enjoying with my 11 year old A new study I’ve been enjoying with my 11 year old is this nature science study from @beautifulfeetbooks. It comes with a beautiful assortment of literature, along with hands-on activities like this Watercolor Nature book.

I plan for 1-2 lessons a week, and I commit to doing most of the activities alongside her. I have focused on my older two children and catering to where they are, and the one was the best tagalong. However, this year is different with two high schoolers, and I’m appreciating making this time with my daughter.

Until the end of September, you can take $20 off Far Afield with the code “JUICEBOX2026”. I’ll share books included in this study in stories. It has been so enjoyable!

As with most things, my planning rhythm changes as As with most things, my planning rhythm changes as my homeschool evolves. Here’s a breakdown of what is currently working...

🗓 Plan a week ahead maximum: my family’s schedule often has last-minute changes for a variety of reasons. Planning too far out made it frustrating to see so many cross-outs and rework things (visually icky!). A week ahead seems just right for now.
🗓 First I put down any out-of-the-ordinary things: a ministry or work meeting, an exam for a high schooler, a working on set day, or random appointments go here.
🗓 Morning meeting times: I choose the maximum amount of days we can fit in a morning meeting, and I now write the time to aim for up top. With live classes and places to be, this helps us all out a lot!
🗓 6th grade curriculum: I pull out my 6th grader’s curriculum to see what is ahead for the week and write it in my planner (this one is from @thewellorderedhomeschool and “juicebox” will give you 10% off.
🗓 High schoolers: Currently, I write down the start and end times of their online live classes until we all get used to this new schedule!

It takes about 15-20 minutes, and an iced coffee nearby helps a lot. With a full day, my future self is always thankful for the investment in these planning sessions!

Storytime... these small moments are a lot bigger Storytime... these small moments are a lot bigger than I thought. Even when it’s scary, even when we’re not the ones making the decisions, our hope is to raise kids who can think and discern through all the factors.

These everyday moments are so easy to miss, but they are the stepping stones to appreciate the foundation you’ve been building in your family.

I have been working on a relevant product that I’m excited to share with you. I’m in the middle of getting all the logistics squared away, but comment “email” to be the first to hear about it.

Another first day of homeschool in the books! Thi Another first day of homeschool in the books!

This one hit different, though. It’s Riley’s last “first day” of homeschool before graduating. I’m soaking up every bit of it.

We always start slow on day one. No rush and no stress. Introducing our morning meeting rhythm, which includes our favorite @worldwatchnews, a read-aloud, a math lesson, and easing into what I know will be a full, busy year ahead. Slow starts provide time to sort through all the logins, set up for each course, and talk about our boundaries, expectations, and hopes for the year.

This year I’m also shifting more of my time and attention to my 6th grader’s schooling. I chose curriculum with that in mind. Every kid learns differently, and that’s the beauty of homeschooling: we get to build the year around the child and life circumstances in front of us.

One thing that’s already in our morning meeting rotation: World Watch News. It’s such an easy, no-fuss way to keep current events part of our routine, and it is a welcome break from book work that ALL of my kids appreciate. Use the code “JUICEBOX” for 2 months absolutely free! It is such a great resource, and I know you will love it.

Comment “world watch” for a convenient link!

I love sitting down with my iced coffee, praying over the months ahead, and envisioning what our homeschool days could look like. Other than the actual homeschool life lived, planning is one of my favorite parts of this!

It’s Night Zookeeper! My daughter is motivated to stay on task with her other subjects so she can earn her Night Zookeeper time. Somewhere along the way, she’s entered writing contests, received feedback from tutors, and just won the Star Writer Winner award. 🏆

It’s writing, spelling, and vocabulary wrapped up in these wild zoo quests she actually loves, with a parent dashboard on the back end if you ever want to lean on it within your ELA curriculum.

Purposeful, fun screen time that works for both of us? Yes please.
