All the details of my 2024-2025 Plum Paper Homeschool Planner are here!
Plum Paper allowed me to customize a homeschool planner for the 2024-2025 school year. They specialize in offering easy customization options so I wanted to detail them below so you have a good idea of what to expect.
I have never used Plum Paper before so this experience was very new to me! If you’ve been following our homeschool journey for a while, you know how much I value a quality planner.
I can’t wait to dive into planning for the new school year, so let’s take a look at this customized homeschool planner.
This post is all about the customized Plum Paper homeschool planner.
The Plum Paper Experience
Customizing a planner can be really overwhelming, mostly due to so many choices leading to decision fatigue. Plum Paper makes this process simple by giving you 2 options to ordering your planner. The first is a 5-step process, complete with visuals to help you envision the planner that would work for your unique needs. The second is a fully customized planner where they list out ALL THE OPTIONS every step of the design process to build your dream planner. Can you guess which direction I went? Let me tell you about the easy 5-step process.
The 5-Step Process
1. Select Your Planner Size
Plum Paper has 3 sizes to choose from – A5, 7″x9″, and 8.5″x11″. The A5 feels classic, the 7″x9″ is great for student planners (in my opinion) or when you don’t have too much to note down, and the 8.5″x11″ size feels just right for homeschooling multiple kids. I’ll admit that the 7″x9″ is the cutest, and I wish I can use that one for myself, but with 3 kids, it isn’t large enough for my plans.
2. Personalize Your Cover
Once you select your planner size, you can then select your planner cover. They have a synthetic, a synthetic with clear cover, and a hardcover option for an added fee. You can select from their cover categories like seasonal, favorites, teacher, student, florals, and fun to name a few.
After choosing the design of your planner cover, you can add a name to the front of it. Some ideas could be the school year it’s intended for, your homeschool name, or your own first or last name. They provide choices for a bordered background for this name, and placement and font options for this as well.
3. Select Your Color Scheme
Choose from modern, colorful, or neutral for your overall inner pages and tabs. I had such a hard time with this one because they are all beautiful choices.
4. Choose Your Layout and Start Month
Select your favorite layout from among their top 5 best selling categories or you can view their 25 different layouts. When you click on the option, they will show you a visual on the left side of the website. I totally overused this function in order to see what would be the best fit for my homeschool planner!
While Plum Paper offers undated planners, you can choose your start month for their dated planners. You’ll below that I went in a very different direction for this upcoming school year!
5. Choose Your Add Ons
In this section, you can add note pages, to-do list pages, checklist pages, and even gratitude pages. This section is really fun. All that is left is to approve your design and send to print!
Customizing Your Homeschool Planner
Like I mentioned above, this option allows you many choices. If you don’t enjoy the process of customization, this one may feel overwhelming. However, if you DO enjoy building something awesome, you will absolutely love this option.
To give you an idea, here are just some of the customizations, a.k.a. fun to be had, that you can work through in this route:
- Explore layouts and select your planner size
- Choose your cover material, design, and name
- Select your color scheme (modern, colorful, or neutral)
- Choose your layout
- Customize your layout (section by section!)
- Choose your start month and holidays included (you can add in your own too!)
- Select your binding option (silver, gold, disc, none)
- Choose your add-ons (from categories like home, business, lifestyle, teacher, student, notes and lists, creative, stickers, and page protectors)
