Gift Ideas for Homeschool Moms (and her awesome kids)

November 13, 2024 · In: For Moms

Some links on this page are affiliate links which means that, if you choose to make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I greatly appreciate your support!

This post is all about gift ideas for homeschool moms that I use and love!

Keeping it simple, I pulled together ten of my favorite things from this past year. Just call me Oprah! Just kidding, but instead of making different categories, I just made a quick list of some of our most used items (and some fun ones too!).

Alternatively, I’ll list out some collections not pictured in case my top ten are not your jam. We all like options, right? Some of these may be affiliate links, and everytime, THANK YOU for using them. Not only do we use and love these products, but they are sometimes generous to offer discount codes to our community as well!

Are you close to wrapping up your Christmas shopping? I am nearly there with many of these items listed below fulfilling my list of loved ones. I hope you are blessed by some of these ideas!

This post is all about gift ideas for homeschool moms that I LOVE.

Gift Ideas for Homeschool Moms #1 – 5

gift ideas for homeschool moms

  1. Candles: The heart behind Chapter and Wick resonates with me. They want to enhance reading moments with scents that enrichen your atmosphere. Each candle is handmade, and get this, they have a Homeschool Christmas Collection with titles like Advent Lessons and Winter Craft & Create. So cute! Use code “JUICEBOX10” for a 10% discount!
  2. Pretty Polish and Sets: Their gift shop is now open at Olive and June, and it includes the cutest packaging and sets for many price points. I love any of their Quick Dry or Long Lasting polishes because mom life can get messy real fast. My code “TRISHAV20” will give you 20% off for first time orders. Last year, I purchased this for all my kids activity teachers, and it was so fun selecting pretty colors!
  3. Personalized Notecards or Journals: This is my first school year using paper products from Plum Paper, and I have been able to sample a few of their gift items. I customized some notecards and a journal for gifts recently, and really, nothing is more thoughtful than a personalized gift! Plum Paper does a beautiful job. Stack my code “TRISHA10” on any of their sales for an extra 10% off.
  4. Comfy Walking Shoes: Personally, I can attest that these shoes keep your feet comfy. My test was a full day at an amusement park while waiting in line and walking over 10,000 steps. Since then, I have worn this pair on long walks with friends and to work out. I would purchase this pair again, and if you can give yourself a gift, these are so worth it.
  5. Cute Drinkware and Sweatshirts: The prettiest drinkware around, it is hard for me to not add to cart at each launch. I have a hot beverage and cold beverage cup and now a hoodie and a tee. All are so well designed, thoughtful, and I love supporting small businesses (and a fellow homeschool mom)! Allison gave me the code “juicebox” which should give you 10% off your purchases.

Gift Ideas for Homeschool Moms # 6 – 10

gift ideas for homeschool moms

  1. Habits Shape the Heart: I am thrilled to share that I worked with Bonfire to design that can be a tee, crewneck, or hoodie. The reason it is so special to me is because teaching character and habits was a big reason behind continuing to homeschool for over a decade. Now, we can wear our heart on our sleeve (quite literally!) and inspire our little learners – because the habits we cultivate today shape the adults we become tomorrow. I hope you enjoy these, and know you are supporting the work here at Juice Box Homeschool.
  2. Book Club for Kids: One of my favorite brands for habit training is The Generous Family. They have an adorable picture book club for kids that includes an online portal for additional activities along with a physical package of goodies. My ultimate favorite product they create is a homeschool curriculum all about teaching generosity. Not only is it impactful, Biblical, and easy to use, but they include moving videos, missionary stories, and real life activities to put into practice. Use my code “juicebox” for 15% off your order.
  3. For Your Planner Friend: They will absolutely love the 2025 Home Planner if they are anything like me! So efficient and practical. To me, this is the gift that keeps on giving! It helps me get a lot accomplished at home and work, and I forgot to mention that it is beautifully designed. While you’re there, the Passionate Penny Pincher also offers pretty recipe boxes for slow cooking (my favorite!), whole foods, and a variety of other excellent categories.
  4. An Encouraging Read: On all my social sites, I share a lot of favorite books, but today, I am sharing a recent read that had resonated with me longer than usual. Jamie Erikson wrote this encouraging, equipping, and easy to read title that I think you’ll enjoy.
  5. A Safe First Phone: Is it that time? I recall when we arrived in the season of our oldest needing some way to communicate with us when we were not with her. After researching a lot of different options, we landed with Gabb. It included zero social media, addicting gaming apps, and was truly a distraction-free phone. My son has been using the Gabb Watch now, and it helps our family in the same way. We receive the necessary communication with the screen addiction. My code “JUICEBOX” will provide a perk, discount, or both (it is always changing)!

Great Teacher Gifts

Here are some honorable mentions that I love using, and could make for some easy gift ideas as well!

  • Curated List at Christianbook: I feel so blessed to have a little list on the Christianbook.com website! Check out the goodies I pulled onto one page.
  • Bend Soap Gift Sets: When awesome brands put together gift sets, it makes it so easy! For families with skin issues or for natural product lovers, the lip balms, soaps, and lotions are so creamy and lovely. Use code “juicebox15” for 15% off your order.
  • 2025 Bible Study: Want to start the year off fresh with a Bible study? I will be going through this beautiful study, and will share some thoughts on socials. So excited!
  • Slow Cooker Season: Saved up for this beauty this year, and enjoying putting it to work this season.
  • Watercolor School: We have used Lily & Thistle’s Watercolor School for years because of their lifetime subscription option. With mutilple kids, this course gets used over years. So thankful for this option during free time.
  • Cute Clothing for Shorter Women: I was SO excited to find this subscription box for women 5’4″ and shorter. Hello yes, finally pants and sweaters that I don’t have to tailor or return. You fill in a quick style quiz, and they send you a box of items to try on. Keep what you want, and return what you don’t – so simple! Use my link to waive your first styling fee!
  • Amazon Storefront: Numerous list ideas including gifts for teens, book series, and planning tools, if all else fails, you may likely find your great gift idea here.

This is the only “screen time” I hand over without This is the only “screen time” I hand over without a second thought.

It’s Night Zookeeper! My daughter is motivated to stay on task with her other subjects so she can earn her Night Zookeeper time. Somewhere along the way, she’s entered writing contests, received feedback from tutors, and just won the Star Writer Winner award. 🏆

It’s writing, spelling, and vocabulary wrapped up in these wild zoo quests she actually loves, with a parent dashboard on the back end if you ever want to lean on it within your ELA curriculum.

Purposeful, fun screen time that works for both of us? Yes please.

Want 50% off? Comment “NIGHT ZOOKEEPER” below, and I’ll send you the link. 💌

One of the best gifts we can give our teens is a home where their opinions are welcome, even the half-formed, still-figuring-it-out ones. This has been one of the most challenging practices for me!

Swipe through for 3 simple ways to open that door this week. Which one are you trying first? If you have little ones, it wouldn’t hurt to start practicing this now (I wish I did!).

Confession: we were 100% studying Botany for 2026- Confession: we were 100% studying Botany for 2026-2027.

My daughter skimmed through both notebooks, and Botany won, hands down. Case closed... or so I thought.

Then we visited the Lowell Observatory in Arizona this spring. We paid the extra $5 for the rooftop presentation at night, and while the rest of us were shivering, she was frozen in place for a totally different reason...completely in awe.

In the gift shop, she asked, “Is it possible we study Astronomy instead?”

Here’s another thing about homeschooling I’m grateful for: we get to say yes to that. We get to follow the wonder instead of the plan.

So this year, we’re diving into Exploring Creation with Astronomy, and I already know we’ll be filling that student notebook cover to cover, because a completely filled-out @apologiaworld notebook might be the most underrated homeschool mom flex there is. 😅

Want 25% off? Comment “SCIENCE” and I’ll send the link your way. (Reading this after August 2026? Use code TRISHA10 for 10% off.)

What’s a moment your kid surprised you by loving something you didn’t expect?

Okay but these books 🤩 I just unboxed something r Okay but these books 🤩

I just unboxed something really special today. It’s the brand new Far Afield nature study from Beautiful Feet Books, and I am so looking forward to taking our time with this one.

It’s designed for grades 4 through 6, and it is BEAUTIFUL.

We’re talking 104 lessons built around living books, field guides, and illustrated companions. Plus a consumable logbook, watercolor cards, hands-on activities like building a lemon battery and making a walnut sailboat, and guided field trip days.

This is the kind of nature study that makes your kids want to go outside and pay attention to creation.

And I have an exclusive discount for you!
Use code JUICEBOX2026 for $20 off the Far Afield literature pack. Comment “nature” for the link and code sent to your inbox.

We’ve been using @worldwatchnews for years! It started with searching for a way to incorporate current events in our homeschool days, and I found this subscription that includes 10 minutes of real-world news and entertaining stories that somehow always turns into the best conversations and prayer topics around the table.

An additional bonus is that it breaks up the read-alouds, which is a mutual and welcome pause, while also keeping us all informed.

Right now, new subscribers can try it completely free, and here’s the important part: you need to use my link (coupon code JUICEBOX automatically applied at checkout) for it to work.

✅ Use my link, which will add an additional 30 days free

Comment “world watch” for the 60 days free link. If your family hasn’t tried it yet, this is the perfect time. 🙌

Here are some of the more memorable books about th Here are some of the more memorable books about the ocean that we have used in our homeschool:

🌊 The Shark Lady by Jess Keating: The true story of how Eugenie Clark became the ocean’s most fearless scientist.
🌊 The Little Island by Margaret Wise Brown: written by the same author of the classic Goodnight Moon, The Little Island is about a kitten who visits and witnesses the changing seasons of this special place.
🌊 The Heart of the Samurai by Margi Preus: In 1841, a crew of Japanese fishermen find themselves at the mercy of New Englanders after their ship sank. Manjiro, a 14-year-old boy, is eager to learn everything he can about American culture.
🌊 Where the Wind Leads by Vinh Chung and Tim Downs: still one of the most memorable reads of my life. I am biased because my husband’s family has a similar story, but it was a fascinating retelling of fleeing Vietnam in hopes of freedom, safety, and autonomy.
🌊 Watercolor with Me in the Ocean by Dana Fox: We just all loved these watercolor books, and the ocean version is a favorite!

Dads and teens have a different dynamic, and I thi Dads and teens have a different dynamic, and I think that’s actually a gift.

Less conflict, but also fewer of those everyday moments that just naturally happen when you’re together all day. What I’ve seen in our home is that it’s not about keeping score or doing more, but about being intentional in the spaces that already exist. Rhythms and routines that say, “I was thinking about you.”

Simple things done faithfully over time add up to something really meaningful.

If you’re looking for a starting place to share with your husband, comment “dad books” and I’ll send over some of our favorites for dads and sons to read together.

With all of our unique family dynamics, what is something your husband does with your teens that actually connects? I love hearing your ideas and practices that land!

A random summer homeschool day in photos… We did A random summer homeschool day in photos…

We did all the things in the morning, and then we did none of the things this afternoon. It was a full and varied day!

We beta-tested a friend’s game show room today (think escape room meets all the game shows you know of) and ended the afternoon with pho and good conversation with my teens.

This is what I want to remember about homeschooling. Not just the books and the lessons (although I love them!), but the days we said yes to something different and ended up making new memories.

Summer with your people is a gift.

Just a good old fashioned summer homeschool day. ☀ Just a good old fashioned summer homeschool day. ☀️

I woke up early and got to read from my Bible, and short sections of a couple books (Untriggered by @therealamberlia and Pause by Sarah Allen). I set a weird challenge for myself to not drink my iced coffee until I get that reading in. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Then, we fit in family subjects, math, a history read-aloud, and a workout. We are off to beta test a friend’s new escape room business now!

Thought I’d join @onthecovehomeschool for a #thursdaytablescape today. Thanks Paige, this was fun!

I come back to Charlotte Mason’s Principle 12 more I come back to Charlotte Mason’s Principle 12 more than almost any other.

Education is the Science of Relations: It’s this simple, yet brilliant idea that our job isn’t to download information into our kids, but to help them feel genuinely connected to ideas, nature, beauty, and truth.

That reframe has saved me on more hard homeschool days than I can count.

If you’re new to Charlotte Mason’s philosophy, this is a great place to start. If you’ve been at it for a while, let this be your reminder for these summer months.

On the days we are home, we focus on math and language arts so it’s not a jolt of confusion when we return to fall. I am weaving in things that we used throughout the school year such as history read-alouds, morning meeting resources, and Night Zookeeper for my youngest, because it is just fun (free trial and 50% off available in my profile)!
